Napoli director insists that the club the club have no plans to make any signings in the January transfer window, amid interest in Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo, 37, is said to be open to returning to Serie A less than 18 months after leaving Juventus to return to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese attacker has had trouble breaking into Erik ten Hag’s first squad this season, starting only six of his 12 games in all competitions and scoring only twice.
Ronaldo’s future at United is uncertain as he was recently dropped from the first-team squad after refusing to come on as a substitute in the Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Napoli have been linked with a move for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who is out of contract with Man United in the summer of 2023.
However, club director Giuntoli has downplayed talk of a possible Ronaldo transfer and predicts a quiet winter window for the Italian club.

In an interview with DAZN, Giuntoli stated: “Ronaldo in January? We won’t sign any player in January. We don’t need to change anything in this team. We’re doing great and we’re not planning any signing, as of today.
“I might be repetitive, but we really are not thinking about the transfer market right now. And even if I did have to talk about it, I would say we need nothing, because there are no problems in the squad that need to be repaired.
“Things are going so well that we would not make a single move.”
