Giuseppe Ambrosino, a Napoli-owned striker, has declared his admiration for Nigerian star Victor Osimhen while speaking from Italy’s U20 World Cup camp.
Ambrosino was subdued as the Flying Eagles defeated Italy 2-0 in their second group match of the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina, but he recovered to score and assist as the Europeans defeated whipping boys Dominican Republic 3-0 in the final group game to advance to the round of 16.
With nineteen goals in 31 appearances, the 19-year-old was the Campionato Primavera 1’s leading scorer in the 2021–2022 campaign.
The youngster played the second part of the season at Cittadella after being loaned out to Como during the first half of the season to help in his development.
With 25 goals scored already approaching the final day of the season, Osimhen leads the Serie A scoring charts. He played a key role in Napoli’s first Serie A championship in 33 years.
