Wilfred Ndidi has finally confirmed that he has played his final game for Genk as he closes in on a move to Leicester City.
The versatile Nigeria international is poised to join last season’s Premier League winners once the January transfer window opens, having been heavily linked with a switch to the King Power Stadium.
Ndidi, who is expected to cost £15 million, is usually deployed as a defensive midfielder but is also capable of operating at centre-back. He featured in the victory over Gent last night before declaring that he has played his last game for his current club.

The 20-year-old made his Genk debut in 2015 having impressed while on trial and will now relish the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League.
Leicester have lacked steel in midfield since the departure of N’Golo Kante to Chelsea and the Foxes are eager to bolster their squad as they look to preserve their top flight status.
In stark contrast to their fortunes last season, Leicester, who have created 172 chances this campaign, are currently languishing in 16th place in the Premier League.
