Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville believes Arsenal have a major advantage over Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to win the 2023/24 Premier League title.
Liverpool, under Jurgen Klopp, are presently atop the standings, leading City and Arsenal by two points. Following their 6-0 victory over West Ham on Sunday, the Gunners’ goal difference is now 31, matching that of City, while Liverpool’s is 32.
This indicates that the season is going to be a very close race for the title with only a few months remaining. Neville, a former skipper of United, thinks that Arsenal may benefit by staying in the hunt.
According to Liverpool Echo, the ex-footballer turned pundit told Sky Sports: “It was around this time last season where there was so much pressure on Arsenal because they were so many points clear and everybody was thinking that they were going to win the league. Now they don’t have anyone looking over their shoulder.
“In fact, they’re the ones doing the looking in third. That may actually be better for them.”

Neville added: “They have, in the last few weeks, shown the form that put them in that position last season when they could’ve won the league. They just need to stay focused, calm and keep their players fit.
“They’re up against [Jurgen] Klopp and Liverpool. They’re up against [Pep] Guardiola and Man City and that’s big.
“Mikel Arteta, if he can drive that bus in between those two and win the league this year, that’d be a monumental achievement. They’re in with a chance.”
