Gary Neville is reportedly still not convinced Liverpool will win the 2024-25 Premier League title as he thinks the Reds will hit a rough patch at one point this season.
The Englishman further stated that Arsenal are not entirely out of the league race.
After Liverpool defeated Manchester City 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday, putting them eleven points clear of the defending champions, Neville, according to Caught Offside, claimed on Sky Sports that Arne Slot’s team must now be the favorites to win the title this season.
Even though Liverpool lead Arsenal by nine points right now, he also emphasized that the title race doesn’t really start until later in the season, so the lead may be cut to just seven or five points very soon.

For Arsenal, who appear to be only beginning to find their best form now that Martin Odegaard is back from injury, something like that would be somewhat intimidating.
Although Man City have won four straight titles, their dreams of winning the league for a fifth time in a row now looks unlikely after yesterday’s defeat at Anfield.
Although it’s impossible to completely rule out Pep Guardiola doing something amazing, it seems unrealistic to anticipate Liverpool to lose up to four games while this City team win every one.
With players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah all played important roles in Jurgen Klopp’s team that won the title in 2019–20, Liverpool are the favorite and have players who have been there and done it before.
