New suitors emerge in Torres battle

Juventus have joined the list of clubs tracking Valencia starlet Ferran Torres. Los Che were already facing a huge battle to keep hold of the 19-year-old as Premier League sides Manchester United and Liverpool are believed to be keen, while Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
Italian reports now claim Juventus are ready to throw their hat into the ring and Valencia could well be forced to cash in, either in January or at the end of the season.
The Spain Under-21 international is due to enter the final year of his deal at the end of the campaign.
If Valencia cannot convince him to agree fresh terms they will almost certainly have to sell next summer to avoid the possibility of losing him as a free agent although they would be due some compensation due to his age.
Torres does have a reported £88million release clause in his deal at the Mestalla and if any club is keen to sign him in January they will have to come up with a big bid – even if they don’t trigger that clause.
However, next summer Valencia are more likely to be open to offers if he has not extended his deal.
The young winger doesn’t appear to be angling for a move but Valencia will be desperate to tie him down to a new deal to end the speculation linking him with a move away.
