Newcastle United are reportedly keen on signing Barcelona winger Raphinha this summer transfer window.
The former Leeds United star has been shortlisted as a target by the Magpies, who are looking for a “lethal” right-sided forward this summer.
Sources claim that at this point, there isn’t an agreement between the two clubs.
Raphinha, whose national side, Brazil has been eliminated from the 2024 Copa America is not actively pressing to leave the La Liga side.
In an attempt to raise money after Lamine Yamal’s phenomenal rise the previous season, reports say Barcelona are looking at placing Raphinha on the transfer market this summer.
According to Football Insider, as the Catalan club continue to look to strengthen their attacking options, it may provide Newcastle the opportunity to make a move for the 27-year-old.
After switching to Barcelona in 2022, Raphinha has been a regular player for the Spanish giants.
The winger made 37 appearances in all competitions last season, contributing 13 assists and 10 goals. However, in order to make room for the exceptional 16-year-old Yamal, he was moved to the left flank in the second part of the campaign.

However, because of his 67 appearances with Leeds United, there is less danger in recruiting him.
Raphina made 65 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 17 goals and dishing out 12 assists, demonstrating his ability to have an impact on matches in the English top-flight.
