Newcastle On The Verge To Sign Promising Player From Chelsea

Newcastle United are reportedly set to sign Chelsea defender, Lewis Hall after a deal worth £35 million was agreed between the two clubs.

The teenage full-back is about to be presented as a new member of Newcastle after the Magpies and Chelsea agreed a deal, thought to be worth £35 million.

The 18-year-old Hall, who is close to becoming Eddie Howe’s fifth summer acquisition, will join the Premier League table-toppers. And face off against Dan Burn for a regular starting position.

The Slough-born defender recently extended his contract at Stamford Bridge. But he will now take on a fresh challenge in northeastern England where he is going to spend the campaign playing Champions League football.

The teen’s move is initially on loan. But the Toons will be required to make it permanent at the end of the 2023–24 season.

Set to be the Geordies’ final summer signing, Howe recently said: “It’s a loan deal. He’s a player I like — very versatile with really good potential. Let’s see what happens today. If we do bring a player in (Hall), that will be our transfer business concluded, unless injuries.”
