Newcastle Star Sends 26-Word Transfer Message To Arsenal, Man United

Newcastle United midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes has reportedly sent a clear transfer message to Manchester United and Arsenal ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

A summer raid for the Brazil international is reportedly being considered by a number of Premier League teams, including the Gunners and Red Devils. This summer, a £100 million release clause in the 26-year-old’s contract spurred transfer rumors.

Since Guimaraes is still a star for the Magpies, that clause has already expired. And since clubs can no longer force a £100 million deal, transfer rumors have subsided. However, Give Me Sport previously reported that Manchester City and Arsenal both had “genuine” interest in the player, with Pep Guardiola praising him as “exceptional.”

Because of Dan Ashworth, the sporting director, and his connections to the Tyneside team, the Red Devils were also linked to the star. A United “raid” on the Magpies was hinted at by The Mirror, but it never materialized.

According to London World, in order to send a strong message to any possible bidders through the media, Guimaraes has now addressed transfer rumors prior to the Premier League’s return.

He said: “I have never said I would like to leave. I’ve always said I want to put my name in the club’s history and that hasn’t changed.

“I want to be in the Champions League again, I want to win something for the club. This is still my dream.”

He added: “I’m very happy. The gaffer has given me a big responsibility to be in the leadership group. I want to be a leader. Grateful to him and his staff and it’s time for me to deliver something special for them.”
