Newcastle United have continued to face roadblocks in their quest of an England international.
As previously revealed by NationalWorld, the Magpies have been pursuing the signing of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi since his return from the 2024 Euros, where England reached the final.
Newcastle’s last bid of £65 million was rejected, and various publications are now reporting that Palace has turned down a fourth bid. According to Chronicle Live, the current bid was still £65 million, but with further add-ons for Palace.

Meanwhile, existing Newcastle defenders Dan Burn and Jamaal Lascelles are in the final year of their contracts, making signing Guehi one of Eddie Howe’s main goals.
Guehi himself has stated on national world sport “I am aware that there is still some interest. But it is not something I am looking into, if that makes sense. I’m still in my corner. You only have power over what is controllable.
“I can’t control anything else going on outside or any exterior noise, I can only focus on my football and giving my best at any given moment.”
