Transfers from Newcastle United: One Premier League team is very close to signing Kalvin Phillips, which might signal the end of his ordeal.

Kalvin Phillips’ transfer to West Ham is allegedly nearing completion, and the midfielder’s future will likely be decided in the next few days. West Ham became a serious candidate for the former Leeds United player despite connections to Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, and talks between them and City are reportedly at a “advanced stage.”
This season, Phillips has made just ten appearances across all competitions. He was allowed to depart the Etihad Stadium this month in pursuit of regular first-team action. Phillips was not used as a substitute for City at St. James’ Park last time out. But City’s expectations for a £7 million loan fee turned out to be a roadblock, and Newcastle United withdrew their interest until City lowered their demands.
TalkSport report that Phillips has agreed to join David Moyes’ side and will become a Hammers player until the end of the season once the two clubs can come to an agreement over the terms of a loan deal. A move to the London Stadium will allow the 28-year-old to play regularly and potentially increase his chances of being in Gareth Southgate’s starting XI for England’s Euro 2024 campaign.
The club will have to sell before signing anyone and have recently seen Kieran Trippier, Miguel Almiron and Callum Wilson linked with moves away from Tyneside.
