Newcastle United’s CEO Sent A Public Message To Arsenal And Liverpool Regarding £125 Million Transfer

Newcastle United CEO Darren Eales has publicly warned Arsenal and Liverpool about any prospective summer bids for talisman Alexander Isak.

The Sweden international has long been linked with the Gunners and Reds, and he continues to score for pleasure on Tyneside. Isak, who joined St James’ Park from Real Sociedad in 2022 for £63 million, has already scored 22 goals across all competitions this season.

Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are desperately in need of more firepower for next season, as they are currently without the injured Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. Isak has been identified as a top target for the North London club, but he won’t come cheap.

Arsenal and Liverpool linked with £125 million Newcastle United guy.

In February, Fichajes stated that Newcastle United would demand at least £125 million to allow Isak to leave the North East. Last week, The Mirror speculated that Arsenal could attempt to sell important first-team players Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard to fund such a massive deal.

However, such efforts may not produce the desired results of an Isak transfer. According to NewcastleWorld, Eales has sent a strong message to any clubs considering a bid for Isak.

He stated: “We’re currently in a position where we were able to relocate a couple of players in January (2024) who weren’t really affecting minutes on the pitch. We have the wish and desire to keep our key players, who are all on long-term contracts.

“So, from that standpoint, we have no intention of moving any of those players, and we are not under any kind of pressure. We have an ambitious owner who wants the best for the team. So from that standpoint, it would be insane for us to entertain it.”
