Luis Enrique and Neymar have had similar rollercoaster campaigns at Barcelona and the striker is not looking forward to bidding his coach farewell in the summer.
Back to his best in the 5-0 rout of Celta Vigo on Saturday night, Neymar’s return to form in recent weeks has been emblematic of the Blaugrana’s wider improvements since their 4-0 loss to Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League.
“It’s sad that Luis Enrique is leaving, we have a lot of affection for him and we trust him a lot,” the Brazilian told
Barcelona’s official media channel.
“We are grateful for how much he’s helped us over the years and for all that he’s done in his three seasons.”
After the comeback assault on PSG this Wednesday, the Azulgrana’s attention will turn back to LaLiga with Deportivo La Coruna and Valencia up next before the international break.
