Neymar has revealed he would love to play for Brazilian side Flamengo one day.
The Barcelona superstar began his career at Santos before moving to Spain in 2013, but has ambitions to return to Brazil.
Neymar has been linked with massive moves away from Barcelona, with Manchester United a mooted suitor, but the winger dreams of playing in the Maracana.
The famous stadium holds almost 80,000 and often hosts international fixtures and is a regular feature of Brazil’s Copa Libertadores tournament.
And Neymar revealed he wants to play regularly in front of the passionate crowd.
‘I have a lot of desire to one day play for Flamengo, with the Maracana full, playing in the Copa Libertadores,’ Neymar told Canal Esporte Interativo.
‘I still have strong sentiments towards Santos.
‘But they went to court against me and I still don’t know why. There is a lot the people don’t know about.
‘All that’s missing is for the club to claim I wanted to score an own goal in favour of Barcelona during the [2011] Club World Cup.’
Neymar has been a huge success at Barcelona, winning La Liga twice and lifting the Champions League trophy in 2015.
The 25-year-old has been in excellent form this season with 25 assists and 15 goals to his name.
Any club looking to purchase Neymar would have to be willing to fork out a colossal fee with the Brazilian in the prime of his career and under contract until 2021.
