Egyptian Football Association announced the dismissal of Hossam El-Badry as Egypt national team head coach.
El-Badry was named as Egypt’s head coach by the EFA after Javier Aguirre was sacked following the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
During his period as a head coach, El-Badry led the Pharaohs in nine games, five of which he won and four he tied.
However, Egypt’s performance in the current 2022 World Cup qualifications was questioned by many, especially after the draw with Gabon yesterday.
Following that, EFA decided that it was time to look for a change as they decided to dismiss Hossam El-Badry and his staff from their position.
The decision came through EFA official social Media platforms, the statement came as follows: “The Egyptian Football Association would like to thank Hossam El-Badry and his technical staff for the work they have done for the national team.
“We wish them good luck and fortune in their future career. And the EFA will decide the new technical staff for the national team during the next 48 hours.”
