Nkunku pleased with start to life at Leipzig

RB Leipzig new boy Christopher Nkunku says he is pleased with how he’s started the next chapter of his career in Germany. The French youth international was signed by Julian Ngalesmann’s side during the summer on a five-year contract.
Over the past four years, the young, attacking midfielder had made a few fleeting appearances for PSG, but he was never a bona fide regular in the line up, and he was allowed to seek pastures new in the summer.
So far, the move has been a success with the 22-year-old scoring three goals in 10 appearances, with only four of those being starts.
He has helped Leipzig enter the November international break in second place with the season a third of the way through.
They are four points behind surprise leaders Borussia Monchengladanch, who have won eight of their opening 11 matches.
Speaking about his move to the Red Bull Arena, Nkunku has been very impressed with what he has seen from the club and says he can give even more despite being pleased with his own personal form. “I’m happy enough given it’s a new league for me, even though I know that I could do a lot more.,” he said. “I could always improve my statistics, there are always situations in matches where I could’ve made a better decision. But I’m very satisfied given the fact that it’s my first season, or rather my first months here.”
Nkunku was one of three additions to the Leipzig squad during the summer in an effort to claim the Bundesliga title for the first time in their history.
He was joined by Hannes Wolf, who moved from sister club Red Bull Salzburg, while Ademola Lookman made his loan move from Everton permanent.
