While being stuck in a lift is never a good situation to be in, West Ham United captain Mark Noble would hate to be in that scenario with Emmanuel Emenike.
The Nigerian striker has made a moderate impact at the Hammers since joining on loan in January from Fenerbahce, but he has obviously had quite a worrying effect on his team-mate and captain.
Noble has named the 29-year-old as the last player he would want to be stuck in a lift with as the forward quite clearly has a very good poker face.
“I will go for Emmanuel Emenike,” Noble told the club’s official website. “You never know if he is being serious or not and he does say a lot of things which I just don’t believe!”
Emenike hasn’t actually lit the Premier League up, failing to score a single goal during his 13 appearances in the top flight and creating only seven chances. He did manage to find the back of the net twice in the FA Cup, however.
Noble was once again snubbed by Roy Hodgson in his England squad for Euro 2016, despite having one of the best seasons of his career – and he may have preferred to spend the time in the lift with the Three Lions boss to convince him to pick him.
