Nottingham Forest Get A Significant Offer For A Midfield Player

According to The Athletic, French powerhouse Lyon has put in a bid to sign midfielder Orel Mangala of Nottingham Forest.

According to Inside Futbol, Napoli had previously shown interest in Mangala earlier this month, but that lead has since dried up.

On Monday night, it became known that Lyon was currently negotiating a contract to sign the Forest midfield player before the deadline on Thursday.

The French powerhouses have made quick progress in attempting to finalize an agreement for the midfield player to join Lyon in the upcoming days.

It has been reported that Lyon has made Nottingham Forest an offer to sign Mangala for £30 million.

In an attempt to turn things around in the second half of the season, Lyon, who have been struggling, are pushing for the signing of Mangala.

With this chance, Nottingham Forest could nearly triple the £10.5 million they gave VfB Stuttgart for the midfield player eighteen months ago.

It is yet to be seen, though, if Forest will consent to sell a player of his caliber so late in the transfer window.

Lyon operates under the assumption that Nottingham Forest is experiencing financial pressure to offload players during the current transfer window.
