Nottingham Forest are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Dean Henderson permanently from Manchester United.
The England goalkeeper, who was on loan at the club in the just concluded Premier League season is said to be on the verge of signing for them permanently.
According to talkSPORT, manager Erik ten Hag has approved Henderson’s departure. And United see selling Henderson as a method of raising money for their summer rebuild.
As a result, a transfer seems certain, with Forest dominating the race to sign the shot stopper.
Henderson spent the previous season on loan at the City Ground, where he undoubtedly had an impact in helping the team avoid relegation.
The England international made 18 appearances for the team, conceding 31 goals while recording six clean sheets.
However, a thigh injury put an abrupt end to his campaign in mid-January, ruining his season.
Steve Cooper has seen enough to know that he wants to make use of the shot-stopper on a full-time basis despite that restricting injury.
Henderson began his career at Shrewsbury Town before moving to Man United in 2018.
