Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Names Top Job He Wants If Man United Comeback Failed

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has acknowledged that he would “happily” conduct discussions regarding the Norway job in the future.

Following his dismissal from Manchester United in November 2021, the 51-year-old has remained unemployed.

After taking up the position temporarily at first and making an impression, he was scrutinized closely for over three years at Old Trafford.

The matter was brought up with Solskjaer during a Q&A session at the Oslo Business Forum. Erik ten Hag took over for Solskjaer the summer after.

“I would say yes every day of the week if the family [United] asks,” he declared. Talking about other people’s work makes me feel bad, but the answer is definitely yes.

It’s unclear whether Manchester United’s upper management would seriously contemplate giving Solskjaer the keys again, even though Ten Hag is under pressure once more.

But he did make a suggestion that he would be open to managing his own Norway in the future, reports Mirror

“As a proud Norwegian, I will gladly participate in conversations if and when Ståle decides to resign,” Solskjaer remarked, addressing Ståle Solbakken, the team’s head coach at the moment.

“I am proud to be from Norway and to be a proud Norwegian.”
