Since being sacked of his responsibilities at Old Trafford in November 2021, Solskjaer has remained unemployed.

Eleven years after playing for the Red Devils, the Norwegian returned to Manchester in 2018 after three years as manager.

Despite several offers, the 51-year-old has no plans to return to the dugout three years after leaving. Rather, he is now constructing a home on the Norwegian island of Kristiansund.

“Now, I enjoy myself and do exactly what I want,” he said on the Bakrommet podcast on Norwegian radio station NRK. “I’ll be moving in in a few weeks.”

‘I have reached a position where I can pick and choose, and I am lucky there. Financially, I don’t need anything.’

Solskjaer works part-time as a match analyst for UEFA when he isn’t working on his dream home, which he allegedly spent just under £800,000 on in 2010, reports Daily Mail.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hasn’t entirely ruled out a future career in international football, even if it appears that he is settled away from management.

‘I think that a national team could suit me, but then it can’t be on the other side of the globe.
