Crystal Palace winger, Michael Olise is reportedly set to be out for at least two months due to the injury he sustained in his side’s 4-1 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Olise wasn’t fully fit to start the match against the Seagulls. But with Palace trailing 3-0 at the break, he was introduced at halftime.
In just nine minutes, the winger had to leave due to a hamstring issue. And the Eagles ultimately lost 4-1 in what was Roy Hodgson’s worst possible afternoon.
According to The Daily Mail as reported by The Metro, Olise’s recovery was originally predicted to take six to eight weeks. But things may get worse and he may now miss a “minimum” of two months of action.
Obviously, Palace will be hoping that his recuperation advances more smoothly than anticipated and that he can return to action before then. But given the severity of his injury against Brighton, the London-based outfit won’t be taking any chances when it comes to his return.
The 22-year-old has excelled when he has played this season. But his season has been marred by several setbacks due to injuries.
Despite making 11 appearances in the top flight, the former Reading star has only started eight Premier League games and scored six goals.

Eberechi Eze, another of Hodgson’s big names, is also sidelined due to a hamstring injury. However, it is unknown how long the England international will be sidelined.
The Eagles return to Premier League action on Monday night when they host Chelsea. They anticipate having Joel Ward back in the mix. But they will still be without Rob Holding and Cheick Doucoure.
