Olmo And Victor In Barcelona Super Cup Squad Amid Registration Issues

Barcelona have reportedly included Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in their Spanish Super Cup squad despite an ongoing registration issues with La Liga authorities.

The Catalan giants are navigating difficult terrain as they try frantically to get Pau Victor and Dani Olmo registered.

In a joint statement, La Liga and RFEF confirmed that these two players cannot be re-registered in the middle of the season, despite the club having twice been rejected by the courts.

However, Barcelona appear convinced that the Higher Council for Sports, the Spanish government’s highest sporting organization, would take preventative action.

A decision is anticipated either the same day or the day after Barcelona’s appeal to the CSD on Tuesday.

Now, according to Mundo Deportivo as reported by Barca Universal, the Blaugrana have have made the decision to take both Olmo and Victor on their trip to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup.

The report also added that the club are hoping that this midweek will see approval for these two players’ registration.

Olmo and Victor might end up on the Barcelona roster if CSD takes quick action.

But a lot will rely on when the decision is rendered. Barça are hopeful of a favorable outcome even if they have not taken a positive ruling for granted.

Olmo and Victor won’t be able to play in the Spanish Super Cup, much less the semifinal matchup with Athletic Club, if CSD rejects Barca’s appeal.

Therefore, Barcelona’s next option would be to seek justice in ordinary courts, which is something the outfit are desperately attempting to avoid.
