Barcelona defeated Osasuna in the match scheduled for matchday 27, allowing them to go three points ahead of Real Madrid on the La Liga table.
Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo, and Robert Lewandowski scored the three goals for the Catalan team in this match, which saw the Blaugranes win 3-0.
There was some controversy surrounding the game, too, as SPORT notes that Osasuna are considering challenging Barca’s lineup because they feel one player was ineligible to play.
Due to a physical issue he sustained in the most recent league match against Atletico Madrid, this player—defender Inigo Martinez—was unable to play for the Spanish national team during the March international break.

Osasuna believe Barcelona may have violated a FIFA regulation that states that if a player has left the national team due to injury, he cannot participate for at least five days following the final day of his team’s international break.
An exception does, however, apply if the player has been released by the national team, as appeared to be the situation with Inigo Martinez and the Spanish national team.
Osasuna are investigating at the moment, though, because they think the Basque defender shouldn’t have been allowed to play against them because Spain’s last match was on March 23, four days before to the league encounter last night.
Toni Freixa, the director and lawyer for Barcelona, reckons there is very little chance that the Pamplona club’s challenge will be successful.
