Striker Victor Osimhen insist he is happy at Lille but is not against a move away at some stage of his career. The 20-year-old spent last season on-loan with Belgian club Charleroi from Wolfsburg and 12 goals from 25 Pro League outings prompted The Zebras to buy him outright at the end of the campaign.
However it was not long before Lille came calling, and they signed the Nigeria international for £10.8m on a five-year deal.
The youngster has made a smooth transition to Ligue 1, with seven goals from 13 league appearances helping his club to fifth place in the French top-flight standings.
Osimhen has also bagged a couple of goals in the Champions League and, unsurprisingly, a few top clubs have been sniffing round.
Bayern Munich have already been linked, along with AC Milan while Premier League Newcastle United have sent scouts to watch the Lagos-born starlet in action.
It has been a meteoric rise for Osimhen, who struggled for game tie with Die Wolfe but is now in demand and it seems inevitable that he will move on sooner rather than later but, for now, he is happy to ply his trade at Stade Pierre-Mauroy “I’ve always been ready to take the stage,” he said. “If big clubs look at me, it’s great for me. But I am well in Lille. The club will decide if I stay or leave. I will not object.”
La Liga may also be an option as the African has already outlined his love of Spanish football.
