Alexis Sanchez is close to agreeing a contract with Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in France.
L’Equipe claims that the Arsenal forward’s representatives have held advanced talks with PSG’s sporting director Antero Henrique and the terms of a deal are close to being finalised.
PSG want to tie the Chilean down to a long-term contract but Sanchez’s camp only want a three-year deal worth £275,000 a week after tax.
The French club are reportedly confident that an agreement can be reached but they still need to settle on a fee with Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger is adamant that the 28-year-old will not be sold this summer but it’s understood that if that stance were to change, Arsenal would prefer to do business with a team outside of the Premier League.
Manchester City is reportedly Sanchez’s first-choice destination and he admitted for the first time last week that he wants to leave Arsenal to play for a team in the Champions League.
Sanchez has just one year left on his current deal and has given no indication that he is ready to extend his contract.
