Paul Merson has again professed his appreciation for Leeds United, predicting that Daniel Farke will lead the club to promotion this season.
The Whites have had a solid start to the season, scoring 22 points from 11 games. The 2-1 victory over Watford at home on Tuesday extended their unbeaten streak to six matches. Farke’s team are three points better off than they were at this stage last year.
Despite a difficult first week, Farke has turned their fortunes around. Merson stated, “I am glad for the manager because I recall five or six weeks ago, they had a game on Sky, and he had to win that game or he would be under terrible pressure. It makes a difference. When you manage in these leagues, the experience is priceless.

“Don’t panic; you know the league and the guys. They replaced those guys, and the ones they brought in are certain they can compete in that league. And it is difficult to play in Leeds.
“The fanbase makes it feel like a Premier League club. You’re bringing in players who can handle the pressure, and the manager has recently gained that experience.
“That is why I believe the experience is priceless. People send in managers from all over the world to manage in the Championship; nevertheless, some of them have no idea what day it is.”
