West Ham’s Dimitri Payet capped a fine first season in English football by winning FIVE gongs at the Hammers’ Player of the Season awards night.
The Frenchman scooped player of the season, players’ player of the season, signing of the season, goal of the season and top goalscorer on a hugely successful evening for the midfielder.
His sensational free kick against Crystal Palace won him the goal of the year award, one of 12 strikes in all competitions this term.
Payet’s form throughout the campaign has earned him many plaudits and a place on the PFA Player of the Year shortlist, where he was beaten to the prize by Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.
The former Marseille man has added 10 assists to his nine goals in the Premier League, spearheading West Ham’s unlikely bid for the top four.
Elsewhere on the evening, Michail Antonio picked up the best individual performance award for his display against Tottenham, while Reece Oxford was named young player of the season.
Paolo Di Canio’s famous volley was named best goal at the Boleyn Ground with the venue set to close this summer as the Irons relocate to the Olympic Stadium.
