Pedro is determined to prove himself at Chelsea and will not force a move away from the club at the end of the season, according to the London Standard.
The 28-year-old winger was Chelsea’s biggest signing last summer when he joined from Barcelona for £21.4million but has struggled to make an impact so far this term. The Spain international has started just 17 games and has only three goals and two assists to his name.
It has led to a lot of speculation that Pedro is failing to settle in England and wants a return to La Liga but Standard Sport understands he is not looking to give up on his Chelsea career just yet.
Pedro still has more than three years left on his contract with the Blues and is focused on trying to end his first season at the club with a trophy.
Chelsea take on Paris Saint Germain in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie next Tuesday before facing Manchester City in the FA Cup fifth round five days later.
Pedro has not started the last four matches, having suffered a groin injury last month, but is keen to help Chelsea in their pursuit of silverware.
Last month he said: “I’m happy living here. It’s a great city and a great league, although it is different to La Liga. I’m slowly adapting.”
Meanwhile, Chinese Super League side Hebei Fortune have moved to beat Shanghai Shenhua to the signing of Loic Remy by offering £15.7m for the Chelsea striker.
Shanghai bid £11m for the France international earlier this week and are now under pressure to respond.
China’s transfer window closes on February 26.
