Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson could leave this summer.
Ederson has been with the Premier League winners for seven seasons after joining from Benfica, and he has won numerous trophies since taking over for Claudio Bravo in goal. However, he has been linked with a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League in recent months.Reported By Mirror.
The Brazil international, who has made 332 appearances for the club, has two years left on his current contract at the Etihad, and Guardiola admitted following a 4-3 pre-season loss to Celtic in the United States that the 30-year-old goalkeeper’s future is questionable.

“I don’t know – he needs to consider other options,” stated the City manager. “Of course, I want him to stay. It now relies on the clubs. I am not aware of the circumstance.
“No contact in the last few days. It’s a question of training and staying with us until the transfer window closes, and then we’ll see what happens.”
If Ederson leaves, Stefan Ortega, last season’s No.2, is expected to be given an opportunity to consolidate his position as first choice.
Guardiola’s anxiety over Ederson contrasted sharply with his statements about Kevin de Bruyne ahead of the match against Brendan Rodgers’ side, amid speculation that he could be going for a new challenge.
De Bruyne has been looking into his alternatives, including negotiations with new MLS franchise San Diego FC and preliminary discussions over a move to Saudi Arabia. In a June interview with the Belgian weekly HLN, he was candid about his opinions.
