It has also been mentioned that Guardiola may return to Barcelona, given it has been twelve years since his illustrious four-year tenure at Camp Nou.

Despite his ties to the team as a coach and player, the 53-year-old has instead moved to rule out ever serving as a second stint at the Spanish powerhouse, reports Sports Mole.

During a press conference held during an annual golf tournament in Girona, Guardiola was inevitably asked if he would ever take an offer from his previous team.

“It’s a closed door,” he remarked. Because there are a lot of cases to handle, the Barça bench is among the most challenging.

“In Manchester everything we do remains inside and at Barça, everything comes out.”
