City are the favourites to win a fifth consecutive title. However, Guardiola believes that the Premier League competition has grown stronger. Before his side’s Champions League match against Sporting CP, the Etihad Stadium manager stated, “I know our standards.” We lost one game in the Premier League. Maybe we’ll lose to Brighton and Tottenham [the next two league games], but we just lost one game and are two points behind a top-tier team in Liverpool. “The middle class [teams] in the Premier League rise unbelievably. The top-classs teams always was there; [Manchester] United, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal.
