Pep Guardiola Talks Openly About Jack Grealish’s Situation Amid Bayern Munich Transfer Claim

Pep Guardiola has backed Jack Grealish to reclaim his best form next season, despite transfer rumors to Bayern Munich.

Grealish helped Manchester City make history this season by winning their fourth Premier League title in a succession, but he appears to be trailing Jeremy Doku in the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium. While Doku came off the bench to score in the FA Cup final against Manchester United, Grealish was left on the bench in the shocking 2-1 loss at Wembley.

However, Guardiola is confident Grealish will recover. “He will be back,” he said. “He’s battled this season, and Jeremy has taken amazing strides ahead, as everyone has seen in recent games.

“But Jack will be back at the level of last season, I’m pretty sure.”

Grealish has been linked with a stunning summer move from Manchester City.

According to reports, if Vincent Kompany takes over as manager of the German giants, Bayern will want the former Aston Villa captain. According to The Sun, Kompany is a great fan of Grealish, and Bayern believe the opportunity to play with Harry Kane in Munich may convince him to quit Guardiola’s side.

Grealish, who left Villa for Manchester City for £100 million in August 2021, spoke about City’s current Premier League title win on talkSPORT last week.

He stated: “Listen, as soon as I left Villa, which was one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make, I wanted to win. I came here, and happily, we won a lot.

“The  Premier League was the main one I wanted to win, being from England and growing up here, it was just the one trophy I wanted to win. To win three in a row is just unbelievable.
