Albert Sambi Lokonga, an Arsenal player, is due to go to Sevilla today to finalize a season-long loan agreement.

According to ABC Sevilla, Victor Orta’s ‘phone is smoking’ as he prepares to enhance Sevilla’s roster for the upcoming season.

According to the newspaper, now that the soap opera involving striker Rafa Mir has over and he has joined Valencia, Sevilla’s focus has shifted to finalizing a deal for Lokonga.

The Arsenal player is set to become the Spanish club’s third signing of the summer ‘imminently’ and is anticipated to be in the city within the next few hours to sign his contract.
Sevilla and Arsenal finalized a loan deal for the Belgian midfielder, overcoming initial concerns after the Gunners wanted a necessary purchase clause.

This was averted, and instead, the two teams agreed to insert an unconditional purchase provision.

Sevilla signed an agreement with Lokonga many weeks ago, and he has been practicing outside of the city in secret as the two teams work out the details. That has happened, and he is expected to depart today to travel today to sign the necessary paperwork and become a Sevilla player.
