Pogba puts timeframe on return

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba says he still expects to be sidelined for another three and a half weeks with his ongoing ankle problem. France international Pogba has missed United’s last seven games with the issue and Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted last month he expects the 26-year-old to be out of action until December.
Pogba has now offered his own update on the injury, revealing that he could actually return by the end of this month, although it will still be a number of weeks before he is able to influence the first-team once again. “I will still be under plaster for 10 days,” Pogba told RMC Sport. “After, I still have two weeks of rehabilitation.”
The former Juventus star has featured six times across all competitions for United so far this season, with his last appearance coming in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford at the end of September.
The midfielder had seen his side produce some improved performances over recent weeks, but they were brought crashing back down to earth following their 1-0 loss at Bournemouth on Saturday – a result that leaves them 10th in the Premier League standings.
Pogba admits there is nothing more frustrating than having to watch from the sidelines as United lose, but he knows he cannot rush his return otherwise he runs the risk of suffering a setback further down the line.
Asked how hard it is to watch your team lose when you are injured, Pogba replied: “It is the worst. “After, it is not easy to see my team-mates go to training or on the field. “You train inside, you want to return to help your team but when you are injured it is not easy [psychologically]. The most important thing is to heal properly.”
Pogba’s timeframe for his return means he could come back into contention for the Red Devils’ Premier League trip to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United on November 24 or the Europa League clash in Kazakhstan against Astana four days later.
