Poland’s national team manager has said that he would like to see Robert Lewandowski join Liverpool this summer after the prolific striker indicated his desire to leave Bayern Munich.
Since joining Bayern from Borussia Dortmund in 2014, Lewandowski has developed into one of the best strikers of his time, helping the club win multiple Bundesliga titles as well as the Champions League.
However, following Bayern’s recent domestic success, the 33-year-old confirmed that he will not be extending his contract beyond 2023, generating speculation about his next move.

What Did Poland’s Manager Say?
This week, Lewandowski confirmed his intention to leave Allianz Arena this summer.
“One thing is certain today: my Bayern story is over,” he stated during a press conference while on international duty. “I understand that a transfer is the best option for both parties.”
Michniewicz was present with Lewandowski ahead of Poland’s UEFA Nations League opening against Wales, and he made it clear where he wants the veteran striker to go next.
“I’d like to see Lewandowski in Liverpool because I’m a Liverpool fan,” the national team manager added.
Could Robert Lewandowski Sign For Liverpool?
According to reports, Liverpool will be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window, with Sadio Mane reportedly linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski is one of the players being linked with a move to Anfield, where he may rejoin with former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp.
However, according to reports, Liverpool are not currently leading the race for the Poland international.
