Manchester United Manager, Erik ten Hag is under immense pressure to continue his job following a string of poor performances.
Even though the 2024–25 season is still early, United and Ten Hag made significant summer spending but haven’t improved much from their dismal season last campaign.
Ten Hag’s job appeared to have been rescued by United’s 2-1 victory over City in the FA Cup final in May. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS-led board offered the Dutchman a new two-year contract after publicly warning him that he would be dismissed regardless of the outcome at Wembley.
But it appears like United may be thinking of replacing Ten Hag soon, given he only signed a new contract a few months ago. Additionally, Fulham manager Marco Silva is apparently one of the contenders to replace Ten Hag.
Silva is on the shortlist to take Ten Hag’s post at Old Trafford, according to Football Transfers as reported by Daily Star. Despite Fulham’s 1-0 loss to United on the first day of the season, Silva has led the Cottagers to sixth place after six games this season.
On the other hand, the Red Devils are currently in 13th place after losing badly to Spurs 3-0 in their most recent Premier League match.

The report also states that United are also thinking about initiating a contact for Simone Inzaghi, the head coach of Inter Milan.
Any attempt for Inzaghi would have to be made with the intention of him joining United next summer. Though, given Inter are playing in the Champions League this season and hope to defend the Serie A title they won in the previous season.
