Brighton and Hove Albion have reportedly entered the race to sign Udinese star, Lazar Samardzic and are ready to pay more than €20 million to lure him to the Amex Stadium.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport as reported by Sport Witness, Brighton have a “ready” bid of €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses to present to the Serie A club in an attempt to persuade them to sell after their insertion.
This is a sum that “would find favor” with Udinese because it matches what Napoli has offered.
That being said, the report also notes that although Brighton are an alluring side for Samardzic, the Naples club are still “ahead” in the player’s preferences. So reaching an agreement on a fee with the Pozzo family isn’t the most crucial thing in this situation.
Most likely due to their recent participation in European competitions and “employment prospects,” though their current form suggests that may not be the case come next season.
For this reason, a move to Brighton in the Premier League under Roberto De Zerbi may seem more appealing to the player.
In any case, Napoli, who believed they had a free pass on the midfielder, has seen their operations “further slowed down” as a result of the Seagulls’ inclusion.

Brighton are a side who have wide network of scouts charged with profiling youngsters and making a bid to sign them. They integrate them well into the team and sell for large sums of money as a result of how high the demand for their players are.
Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister, Ben White, Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez are examples of those bought for relatively meagre amounts and sold for higher fees.
