This season, the French defender has made 26 appearances for the Eagles and has faced some of the greatest.
Throughout the campaign, the center-back has faced up against players like Chris Wood, who is on fire, Erling Haaland, and Alexander Isak.
But according to the 24-year-old, the hardest opponent he has faced is Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal, reports Talk Sport.
The fact that Jesus destroyed Palace with five goals in two games over the course of three days in December may help to explain it.
In their Carabao Cup quarterfinal, the Brazilian scored a hat-trick.
He started with a chip over Dean Henderson, and Lacroix scurried back to try to clear it off the line.
Frequently sliding behind him and appearing in unmarked space, Jesus persisted in torturing the defender in that match and the next.
“Gabriel Jesus is the hardest player I’ve faced.
He scored a lot against us,” Lacroix said on talkSPORT. Because he moves well, it was challenging.
“I prefer playing against Haaland because he’s strong, and we know it’ll be a struggle. I dislike when players run a lot.
