According to former Gunner Jeremie Aliadiere, Wolves striker Matheus Cunha might be the first player signed by Arsenal under new sporting director Andrea Berta.

Following a four-month hunt for Edu’s replacement, Arsenal declared that Berta will assume the crucial job.
This summer, the Italian is expected to be a key player as Arsenal searches for elite players who can help them advance and end their Premier League title drought.
After a severe injury crisis left the team without a recognized No. 9, Berta is expected to prioritize signing a striker above pursuing moves for a new left winger and midfielder.
Arsenal will now focus on acquiring a striker in the summer after being connected to many new players in January, such as Ollie Watkins, whom they made a late bid for, and Alexander Isak.
After becoming close to Cunha while they were both at Atletico Madrid, Aliadiere, who appeared in 51 games for the Gunners, thinks Berta might make a move for him.
“It could be a deal that goes through because Berta knows Cunha from their time at Atletico Madrid,” he told AceOdds.
Cunha has helped Wolves avoid the relegation threat by scoring 13 Premier League goals for the team, reports Mirror.
