Premier League Star Urged To Find New Club By Father Three Months After Signing

Brentford midfielder, Fabio Carvalho has been advised to leave the club by his father in a now deleted post on social media.

Carvalho, who made an impression at Fulham as a youth, joined Liverpool in 2022 for around £5 million.

Before joining Brentford this summer in a £27.5 million transfer, the Portuguese star spent time on loan at RB Leipzig and Hull City after failing to secure a regular spot in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Carvalho has started just two league games this season, failing to leave a lasting impact despite the Bees’ strong start to the season.

After being reduced to ten men late in the first half, Thomas Frank’s team battled out a goalless draw against Everton last weekend without the 22-year-old playing.

According to The Metro, Carvalho’s father decided to make his displeasure at his son’s lack of playing time public while the team celebrated a well-earned point on social media.

In a now-deleted post on the club’s official Instagram page, Victor Carvalho wrote, “Son, you have to leave this club,” as a comment beneath a post.

Carvalho’s father was a strong supporter of his transfer to the London club only three months ago. But the shocking message shows a clear change in sentiment.

“I’ve watched a lot of Brentford, especially when they played against teams in the top six: they always put in a fight and that’s exactly what you want to see,” the forward said in August when he officially joined the club.

“I’ve been keeping an eye out for Brentford; my dad watched the Benfica [pre-season] game because he’s a massive Benfica supporter and said, ‘Look, Brentford have got a good team'”.
