Marcus Rashford was the target of missiles thrown at him during Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League match against Aston Villa on Tuesday, which might result in UEFA sanctions.

PSG defeated Villa 5-4 on aggregate after winning the first leg 3-1, advancing them to the competition’s semi-finals.
However, even though Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes scored early goals that placed PSG ahead 5-1 overall, Villa still had a chance to pull off a spectacular comeback at Villa Park.
However, Villa was unable to force extra time despite a comeback from Youri Tielemans, John McGinn, and Ezri Konsa.
During the game, Rashford, who helped Konsa score with a fantastic burst into the box, seemed to be the target of missiles hurled at him from the away end as he was getting ready to take a corner.
There were “items being thrown at” Rashford, according to Amazon Prime pundit Jon Champion, despite the fact that the incident was not broadcast on television.
PSG will probably receive a fine for the incident, according to former Premier League referee Keith Hackett, reports Mirror.
Hackett told Football Insider, “If the UEFA observer has witnessed this, he will report the matter, and if proven, a sanction will be imposed.”
