Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly dropped Ousmane Dembele for disciplinary reasons ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old winger, who was previously with Barcelona, switched to Ligue 1 last summer and has since started the new campaign in spectacular fashion, scoring four goals for PSG in six league games.
Dembele won’t, however, be on the pitch when the French champions play Arsenal in London midweek. Just one day before their matchup with Mikel Arteta’s team, on Monday morning, the news was revealed by the French publication L’Equipe.
According to The Mirror, Dembele’s absence is attributed to a ‘heated dispute’ that he had with Luis Enrique, the club’s head coach, after the team’s 3-1 victory over Stade Rennais on Friday night.

Though it’s unclear exactly what caused their argument, Enrique has chosen to leave Dembele off of the group that is traveling to London in the middle of the week. When PSG play OGC Nice this weekend, it is unclear if the forward will be added back into the starting lineup.
In their first Champions League match, PSG defeated Girona 1-0, while Arsenal struggled to a disappointing 0-0 draw away at Atalanta.
