Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made contact with Liverpool winger, Luis Diaz as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe is believed to have decided to sign a contract with Real Madrid at the end of the current campaign. Now, PSG are looking for a replacement who embodies their new “collective” philosophy.
According to Footmercato as reported by Football365, the Qatari staff at PSG believe Diaz is the ideal player to replace the Frenchman at the Parc des Princes, .
Ousmane Dembele, Randal Kolo Muani, Goncalo Ramos, Bradley Barcola, and Lee Kang-in are just a few of the talented attacking options available to the French champions. However, they feel that ‘a strong link must be recruited for the left corridor of the attack.’
The Ligue 1 strongholds are said to benefit from an ‘excellent relationship’ between Diaz and the club’s former sporting director Antero Henrique, who ‘remains involved with the Qatari leaders.’ It is stated that “contact is already established with Diaz’s agent, Raul Pais Da Costa.”
After working together at Porto before, the two ‘know each other very well and appreciate each other.’
Barcelona are believed to be interested in Diaz as well. And president Joan Laporta is rumored to have met with the winger’s agent to talk about a possible deal.
However, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano claims that a move to Barca is unlikely. This is due to the outrageous fee Liverpool would demand—roughly £100 million.

“Staying with Liverpool for a moment, I want to reassure fans that I’m not hearing anything about Luis Diaz and Barcelona.”
“Diaz’s full focus is on Liverpool. And also I don’t think it’s possible for Barcelona to go and pay the kind of crazy fee that would be required for Diaz.”
