PSG’s Qatari owners are reportedly interested in investing in a Premier League club and have have met with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the chairman of Qatar Sports Investments and beIN Media Group, took over as president of PSG in October 2011 and has overseen a major change in the club’s fortunes since then.
PSG, now regarded as one of the world’s sporting financial superpowers, has won eight Ligue 1 titles since Al-acquisition, Khelaifi’s as well as reaching the 2020 Champions League final.
According to Sky Sports News, Al-Khelaifi is now interested in investing in an English Premier League club, and the PSG CEO has already met with his Tottenham Hotspur counterpart, Daniel Levy.
According to the report, the two met in a London hotel last week, with Al-Khelaifi serving as president of the European Club Association and Levy on the executive board.
Levy took over as Tottenham’s chairman in 2001, succeeding Alan Sugar, and is the Premier League’s longest-serving chairman, but many Lilywhites fans have been vocal in their opposition to the 60-year-old.

Qatar Sports Investments, which owns a minority stake in Braga as well as PSG, is said to be looking for more opportunities in clubs this year.
Although it is not believed that Al-Khelaifi is restricting his options to English clubs, the PSG president is defying expectations that QSI would stop making investments after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Fans have also criticised Henry for a perceived lack of investment in the transfer market, as well as Liverpool’s failed bid to join the doomed European Super League last year.
Last month, it was reported that a joint Saudi-Qatari consortium was preparing a £3.2 billion takeover bid for Liverpool.
