By making this move, he would rejoin the team he is familiar with and where he developed much of his football career.
Despite the disparities between Barca and PSG, there is a chance that the 21-year-old will sign with the Catalan club on loan for the next campaign.
According to Barca Universal, Simons’ contract allows him to decide on his next move via a loan arrangement. This makes a possible return to Barcelona more likely, as the club regard it as a financially feasible option.
His skill in the midfield, which makes him similar to players like Dani Olmo or Nico Williams, has Barcelona eager to sign him.
Nasser Al Khelaifi, the president of PSG, will meet with Simons and his agent to talk about a potential loan transfer to Barca.
