Christian Pulisic says Timo Werner has already made an impression in training after linking up with his new Chelsea team-mates.
The striker has been training with Frank Lampard’s squad for the last week after completing a move from RB Leipzig.
Werner was permitted to train with his new club and Pulisic – who will be tasked with supplying the German next season – dished on how the big-money signing got on at Cobham.
“He’s a very dangerous player,” Pulisic, who arrived a year ago from the Bundesliga, said. “I think he has some similar qualities to me and some of the attacking guys we have. He’s obviously very quick and very good in front of goal.
“He seems like a very humble guy. He wants to come in and wants to work. Playing against him has been a great experience and it’s going to be nice to have him on my team as well. So I’m definitely looking forward to that.”
Pulisic starred for Chelsea in their FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal, but alarmed fans when he hobbled off injured.
The USA international has since played down fears of a long lay-off with the new season only just around the corner due the rescheduling of the 2019/20 campaign this summer.
