Pundit Compares The Situation Of Man United Star With His Personal Experience

If Antony is found guilty of domestic violence, Manchester United ‘won’t hesitate’ to terminate his contract.

Former Nottingham Forest and Liverpool forward, Stan Collymore has expressed his opinion in response to recent claims involving United’s Antony. While also speaking out about his personal experience with domestic violence.

One of football’s first “bad boys,” Collymore, 52, has a checkered record that includes a physical attack on Ulrika Jonsson, his then-girlfriend, in 1998 in Paris.

The former England international has never been afraid to acknowledge his mistake  25 years ago. Despite the fact that it is now outdated and highly public.

In fact, the 52-year-old is still paying for his actions. As followers have been known to troll him on social media in the wake of the event.

According to many reports, the South American is being looked into for allegedly abusing his ex-girlfriend at home.

Although United has acknowledged the police investigation. The club has not yet taken any concrete action.

What Did Collymore Say About The Situation?

According to Caught Offside, Collymore believes the club’s decision, depending on the outcome of the investigation, will be made easy due to other recent scandals. However, the Brazil national team has dropped him while the case is still open.

“This is obviously a situation I can relate to,” Collymore said in an exclusive interview.

“Back when I was involved in a domestic abuse incident that saw me hit out at Urika Johnson. I was at Aston Villa at the time. And I was immediately recalled to the squad. I wasn’t dropped by the club.

“It is important to note that any allegations made against Antony at this stage are exactly that; they’re allegations.
