Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to terms with Genoa for Romanian defender Radu Dragusin, according to HITC Football.
Spurs’ first objective in January was to sign a new center defense, and Dragusin emerged as their preferred target.
HITC Football confirmed talks earlier this month and the two clubs have finally agreed terms on Tuesday evening, with Tottenham agreeing to pay around £26m for the 21-year-old.

Dragusin is now due in England for his medical and he is expected in North London on Wednesday.
Spurs not worried by rival bid
Spurs insist they were not worried about rival interest in Dragusin but German giants Bayern Munich pushed ahead with their initial interest and made a concrete bid on Tuesday, but they were too late to snatch the player from Tottenham’s grasp.
As part of the talks for Dragusin, Genoa also made clear their interest in taking Djed Spence and although not essential to the deal – that move is also close to being finalised.
Spence, sent back from a loan spell at Leeds, is now heading to Italy to conclude a deal until the end of the season.
Bayern turn attention back to Dier
Despite Bayern’s late interest in Dragusin, that has not caused any issues between them and Spurs, and they are continuing to talk about Eric Dier.
HITC Football revealed last week that Bayern had held talks with Dier, and those have continued. Dier is allowed to talk to other clubs as his contract expires this summer and although initially the talks were over a summer deal – that move could be brought forward to this month and Tottenham have told the England man that they would be open to his departure this month.
