The Zozo Championship will run until Monday after Friday’s second round was a complete wash-out because of heavy rain. The 15-time major winner Tiger Woods and Gary Woodland were looking to build on their first round lead after the duo carded six-under 64s at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in Chiba, Japan. But the weather was the only winner on Friday and it was eventually decided to postpone play until 9:30am local time on Saturday. However, the PGA have announced that fans cannot attend when play does resume due to “safety concerns”. That news will be a blow to Hideki Matsuyama, who will have been looking for the backing of the majority of home supporters to give him a lift.
